How MetroCare of Springfield Chooses the Best Caregivers
MetroCare of Springfield is dedicated to ensuring our clients are provided with the best possible care by individuals who are committed to making our community and its people happier and healthier.
Discovering our Caregivers
MetroCare of Springfield strives to discover individuals who have a passion for caring for those in need and go above and beyond to put others before themselves. The core values of our MetroCare of Springfield Caregivers are comprised of patience, reliability, compassion, and love.
Choosing the Best Caregivers
MetroCare of Springfield conducts a thorough background check of all candidates who are being considered for the position of Caregiver with MetroCare’s Adult Foster Care and Group Adult Foster Care Programs. Candidates are expected to have prior education and knowledge of home health care and must provide specific credentials and references that the MetroCare of Springfield team carefully examines. Our team meets with all candidates who are being seriously considered to care for our clients in order to ensure they are the best fit for our organization and the people we care for.
Caregivers perform a wide variety of duties throughout their day with our clients. Depending on the program, Caregivers may be expected to prepare meals and perform household tasks, like laundry and cleaning. Caregivers may provide bathing bathroom assistance, running small errands outside the home, and transporting the client to appointments. Caregivers act as a source of support to our clients, while still allowing them to maintain their independence in their own home.
Caregivers Training and Education
MetroCare of Springfield ensures that all of our Caregivers are providing the most qualified and trusted care to our community. In order to do that, all caregivers must present proof of prior education. Before accepting a Caregiver position with MetroCare of Springfield, all candidates must have previous home health care experience. Candidates must have successfully completed a relevant program from an accredited institution.
MetroCare of Springfield works hard to develop our talent. All Caregivers are required to complete our organization’s annual Caregiver training program, which includes education on updated state home health care laws, nursing procedures, professional ethics, and more. MetroCare incentivizes our Caregivers to pursue home health care educational opportunities outside of our organization to better their personal and professional knowledge of home health care.
