When you or your loved one join our Adult Foster Care or Group Adult Foster Care program you become part of the Metro family! Our programs will help you or the person you care for live comfortably and safely in their own home while receiving care from someone they trust. WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM ADULT FOSTER CARE (AFC) AND GROUP ADULT FOSTER CARE (GAFC)?
To qualify for the Adult Foster Care or Group Adult Foster Care program, your must be a Massachusetts resident and;
•For Adult Foster Care (AFC): Elderly (65 years of age+) or disabled (16 years of age +)
For Group Adult Foster Care (GAFC): 22 years of age +
Applicants must also require assistance with at least one of their activities of daily living on a day-to-day basis and;
must be eligible for MassHealth or other qualifying insurance plans
